In the case of contamination, one might choose to engage in washing or cleaning compulsions to reduce the chances that illness will occur and drastically diminish the anxiety. Just Right OCD Explained There is, however, a subtype of OCD for which a feared outcome is not the driving force. This is often referred to as “just right OCD” or “touristic OCD (TOCD).” TOCD involves compulsions such as counting, symmetry/evening up, arranging, ordering, positioning, touching, and tapping. In TOCD, theres no elaborate obsessional belief structure or feared outcome that drives these behaviors, but rather, intense somatic (physical) and/or psychological tension or discomfort, often described as something feeling incomplete or “not right.” Sometimes, the distress is heightened by a belief that unless the behavior is performed, the discomfort will be intolerable and/or infinite. The behaviors are then carried out to relieve these uncomfortable sensations. Some have postulated that this sensory-driven OCD is tic-like in nature ?and may be more distinctly characterized by an overlap between OCD and tic disorder/Tourette’s syndrome (TS).?? Expressing a Tic Tics are sudden, rapid, repetitive, nonfunctional motor behaviors (motor tics) or vocalizations (phonic tics), which are often preceded by premonitory (warning) sensations. This buildup of tension is relieved by tic expression, much like scratching an itch. Common motor tics include behaviors such as eye blinking, shoulder shrugging, and head jerking, while common phonic tics include throat clearing, sniffing, and grunting. Tics may also be complex in nature, involving a sequence of behaviors such as touching, gesturing, and repetition of words or phrases. Tourette’s syndrome involves the presence of multiple motor tics and one or more phonic tic(s) during the course of the disorder. Although once thought to be involuntary, people frequently have some control over the temporary suppression of these behaviors.?? Over a lifetime, 30 percent of people with OCD will experience a tic disorder as well, according to the Diagnostic and Statistical Manual of Mental Disorders, Fifth Edition (DSM-5). A 2015 study of 1,374 people with TS found that 72% also met the criteria for OCD or attention deficit hyperactivity disorder  (ADHD).?? Also of note, people with OCD whove had a comorbid tic disorder differ phenomenologically in terms of their OCD symptom themes, comorbidity, course, and pattern of familial transmission from those with no history of tic disorder. According to the  American Psychiatric Association, research has suggested a genetic relationship between OCD and TS as well as hypothesized a shared neurobiological underpinning.?? The upshot: TOCD or “just right” OCD symptoms seem to be a possible intertwining of the two disorders. The Difference Between Tics and OCD From a clinical perspective, the distinction between OCD and tics can be challenging to determine. For example, a repeated touching behavior may be viewed as tic behavior because of its brief, non-purposeful nature; however, this may be indistinguishable from OCD in that it may be seen as repetitive behavior carried out until it feels “right.” Such distinction, however, may be important for clinical decision-making. Whereas the evidence-based treatments for OCD are cognitive behavioral therapyâ€"particularly exposure and response prevention (EX/RP)â€"and selective serotonin reuptake inhibitors (SSRIs), the evidence-based treatments for tic disorders are cognitive behavioral therapy, specifically habit reversal training (also known as, cognitive behavioral intervention for tics [CBIT]), and neuroleptic and alpha-2 agonists.?? TOCD can be more challenging to treat than “classic” OCD. So considering it as a phenomenon existing in an overlap of these two disorders may not only draw attention to the need to comprehensively assess for all possible behaviors in the obsessive-compulsive spectrum, it may also make more treatment options available. Psychotherapeutically, these symptoms are typically treated with EX/RP, as well as the practice of engaging in “just wrong” behavior. Added elements of HRT/CBIT, such as sensory-substitution strategies and diaphragmatic breathing, are also helpful in reducing localized tension.?? We use this phrase for our first scene which had no script. We took the characters of apes in a time before humans and showed how power and dominance existed before human time. Having the use of no costumes, no stage props and no custom lighting. The audience focus is directed all towards the actors. So it is all through the actors that the audience can understand the play and believe it the way we want them to. We used one prop that had no use or meaning by itself until it was used. A fabricated simple ball that we used differently in every scene. We did not want to show a clear description of the object and wanted to let the audience imagine what it is for themself. For example in the first scene we made the audience believe the object was just a significant and important item to the apes and they could then imagine what the item was themself, Each ape wanted to hold on to the item and the ape holding the object would of had power over the others. The item was then transform as a microphone in the scene of a president speech and then transform again as illegal drugs to be then used into a fashion statement in the end. Why Artaud and Growtaski techniques of staging were successful was the involvement of the audience. The people coming to see the play where part of the performance and where all on their toes not knowing was going to come at them. Our group goal in involving the audience was to surprise them in every way we could. The scene opened with one of our member Connor in the character of an ape playing with the object while audience attention was drawn to him they did not expect the two other apes sneaking up behind them to sniff them pull their hair and reowr at them. This was successful as we created surprise and laughter. The audience where sited towards the stage with a gap in the middle to make our new entrances. How to interact with the audience are not only the actors coming to audience but the audience on stage. A three-hour epic on the life and struggles of poet and patriot Jose Rizal, the national hero and martyr of the Philippines, this film was commissioned to mark the 1998 centennial of the country’s independence from Spanish colonial rule. Rizal was a remarkably educated man; not only was he a writer, but he was also a painter, sculptor, doctor and surgeon, teacher, natural scientist, economist, engineer and theologian. He was an excellent fencer and marksman; he studied at colleges in Europe, America and Asia, traveled to many different nations and could speak twenty-two languages. He was a champion of his country’s independence, a Filipino Gandhi who faced the firing squad at the age of thirty-five for inciting rebellion. He was the instigator of the Philippine revolution of 1896-98, the first national uprising against a colonial power in Asia. He also wrote two books, Noli me tangere and El Filibusterismo, which sought to increase his people’s political awarenes s. Director Marilou Diaz-Abaya deliberately avoids a historical lesson. The Rizal of her story Cesar Montano is thinking back on his life and writings from his prison cell in the fortress of Santiago; the characters that appear are a blend of the real people, friends and enemies as well as those he created in his books. The script is solid, with a contribution by Diaz-Abaya’s long time collaborator, Ricky Lee; the soft tones of the cinematography helps to create an atmosphere of magic appropriate to the story of a legendary hero, and the acting by Cesar Montano is quite remarkable. Rizal’s writings galvanize the Filipino people but earn the scorn of the Spanish government, which vows to crush the reb ellion of the Filipinos. The Spanish military capture and torture Jose’s brother Paciano, played by Pen Medina, to determine Jose’s role in the rebellion. During a flashback, Jose says Paciano greatly influenced him by exposing him to the injustice going on in the Philippines. Paciano is released after his interrogation and returns to Manila, where the family plans to go on the run. An order is given to arrest Jose Rizal on sight. The movie cuts back to Jose’s childhood, when he was called Pepe. When he is a child, his mother is falsely arrested for attempted murder and jailed for two years. He gets attention from educators early on for his intelligence and writing prowess. As a young man, he criticizes a college professor for stating that Spaniards are superior to Filipinos. Filipino students start fighting Spanish students after Jose starts raising the issue of Filipino independence. Cutting back to 1896, Jose is captured and put on trial, and his books are banned. The film then cuts back and forth between Jose’s rise as a revolutionary and his fall from grace during his trial. As a student, Rizal spent significant time in Madrid but then became disgusted with Spain’s occupation of Filipino land and Spanish treatment of Filipino citizens. The mayor of Madrid is arrested and discredited for having a Rizal book. A violent revolt breaks out in 1896, which Jose does not support because he sees it as mass suicide. Going back to the trial, enormous pressure is put upon Jose’s defense attorneys, with critics branding them as traitors for defending the rebel. It is revealed in a flashback that Jose had fathered a child that had died soon after birth, adding to his inner turmoil as he buried his only son. In the trial, his books are examined and criticized for their pro-Filipino stance against Spanish imperialists. He is found guilty of staging a rebellion through his speaking and writing, and he’s condemned to death by firing squad. He sneaks a poem to his family before his execution, and he yells â€Å"It is done!† A full-blown rebellion is soon under way. Two years later, in 1898, the Filipino flag is lifted triumphantly as the citizens celebrate their independence.

The village was named that because the hills that the village were built on, it was inhabited with wild wolves and the people had to be careful where they went. A family was going down there to visit their relatives including Bryan and his nephew Miguel. They were very excited since it was their first time visiting Mexico, but it all changed once they got closer to the small village which was filled with dirty streets and homeless families begging for food. The sad scenery looked like something you would see only on T.V, but it was worse and the saddest thing he had seen. They finally arrived in the state of Guanajuato where the village was at.
